Meet a fierce group of talented independent authors of adult & children's books - including Margaret - from across the country and purchase their autographed books! Margaret will talk about keeping her zest for life while undergoing treatment for cancer and dealing with her misdiagnosis. She’ll share the forum with two other local authors, Pat Anstett, long-time Detroit Free Press medical writer and Josephine Roach, a Physician’s assistant and author of Josephine’s Journey: A Breast Cancer Survivor’s Story of Hope. 

​Guests are encouraged to bring questions for the authors.

This is a hybrid event: come in person to the St. Clair Shores Location at 23500 Pare Street in St. Clair Shores or join via Zoom. For questions or help with registering, call 586-777-7761.​

TNBC Now & The Road Ahead Series - Part 1

Margaret Brown joins special guests Joye Mosley and Mary Carr; Triple Negative Breast Cancer survivors and Gilda's Club members, to share her experience during the first of a 6-part lecture series centered on TNBC and made possible by partnership with Gilead Sciences.

The lecture series focuses on providing education, awareness, and ways to advocate now to impact the future of those affected by this disease.  
The educational seminar featured guest speaker Dr. Hadeel Assad MD, hematologist/oncologist, who is affiliated with the Population Studies and Disparities Research Program at Karmanos Cancer Institute. Her research interests include communication and disparities in breast cancer diagnosis and treatment. Dr. Assad is also the Associate Director of the Hematology/Oncology fellowship program at Wayne State University/Karmanos Cancer Institute.​
