In 2018, Margaret Brown retired after 40+ years of fast paced, high stressed professional work as an attorney. Seeking more creative outlets that are enjoyable, she decided on painting. Remembering that as a child she loved paint by number and other artistic efforts, she started acrylic painting classes. As a three-time breast cancer survivor, Margaret also began art therapy sessions at Henry Ford Health Systems. It has been a wonderful journey of exploring creative use of her time, which she enjoys.
Margaret's work can be seen on display now through June 28, 2024, at the Henry Ford Patient and Caregiver Art Show, located in the Healing Arts Gallery at the Brigitte Harris Cancer Pavilion.
